1. Ozone has a mild odour with pleasant smell at lower concentration which grows strongly pungent at higher ozone concentration.
2. It is an allotrope of oxygen. Since it is bonded as a weak bond with oxygen it is inherently unstable when compared to oxygen. This aids in oxidation where ozone may come in contact with pollutants.
3. Ozone is harmless at very low levels in the range of ppb but at higher ppm levels severe discomfort like throat irritation and breathing difficulty will occur if handled hazardously.
4. Ozone generated half life depends upon ambient temperature. At higher temperature ozone readily converts into oxygen by lower the temperature ozone sustains itself for a long time to decompose itself.
